Career fairs are crucial when looking to advance your career by learning about various industries, exploring job opportunities, discovering internships and developing your interview skills.
Prepare ahead of time by knowing yourself, your strengths, your interests and your experience.
Ways to prepare
Update materials
- Schedule an appointment with a career coach to review your resume prior to the fair.
- Print several copies (10-15) on resume paper, which you can get for free from Career Services.
Review companies
- Review the list of employers coming to the fair on the Career Fair Plus (web version).
- Search for Career Fair Plus on the App Store and Google Play Store.

Dress for success
- Dress in a way that you feel comfortable and confident while adhering to the business professional dress code.
- Wear footwear that you will be comfortable walking and standing in.
