What is InternOSU?

InternOSU offers students valuable internship opportunities throughout their time at Oklahoma State University. Participants engage in meaningful, career-focused experiences that align with their post-graduation goals. This program enables students to complete internships during the academic year, allowing them to gain practical, hands-on experience while advancing their professional development and career prospects.

Student Learning Outcomes

In addition to developing in the four Ideal Graduate competencies, students participating in the InternOSU program will: 

  • Recognize characteristics, skills and abilities needed in the workplace 

  • Demonstrate ethical decision-making abilities through navigating situational contexts  

  • Develop professional skills through hands on experiences in a practical setting

Professional Development

Students participating in InternOSU must complete professional development assignments that focus on Ideal Graduate competency development, career readiness and skill reflection. At the program’s end, they will showcase their experiences at a poster presentation event. By accepting an InternOSU position, students agree to fulfill all assignments and internship requirements.
